STAMFORD, Conn. – Spectrum Enterprise, a part of Charter Communications, Inc., today announced that the Texas Department of Information Resources (DIR) has expanded the company’s portfolio of solutions offered to government and education organizations under the state’s Communications Technology Services Agreement. Eligible organizations can benefit from the purchasing power of the state of Texas to procure a range of services designed to strengthen cybersecurity protections and enhance the digital experiences of employees and consumers. Spectrum Enterprise Managed Network Edge, DDoS Protection, Voice and Unified Communications are now available, complementing the connectivity offerings on the contract, which include Fiber Internet Access, Ethernet Services, Cloud Connect and Managed Router Service.

“The expanded number of Spectrum Enterprise solutions now offered under the agreement with the Texas DIR provides eligible organizations with more flexibility when modernizing their network infrastructures to ensure they have the reliability and high-performance necessary to advance their digital services, while simultaneously defending against cyberattacks,” said Lynne Bell, Vice President, Vertical Markets for Spectrum Enterprise. “We’re invested in the success of our public sector organizations as we’re part of these communities too.”

Charter Communications is continually investing in building its infrastructure and technology throughout the country. In 2021 alone, Charter made an $873 million capital investment in Texas and currently serves 415 communities across the state.

Spectrum Enterprise has a national reach with dedicated, local account managers in Texas certified by the Center for Digital Government as State and Local Government Market Professionals. Spectrum Enterprise, the first in the industry to receive this credentialing, requires all sales team members who service the public sector to master this training program.
